How do you source the best talent?
Relying on job postings alone often results in large piles of resumes that include mismatched and under-qualified candidates. The process of sorting these is very time-consuming and requires you to wait around in hopes that the right candidate applies. There needs to be a more proactive approach to finding both active and those hard to reach passive candidates.
Past sourcing techniques required recruiters to search multiple different database sources individually and create complex Boolean search strings to sift through mountains of candidates to find a potential match. Even when you found a group of qualified candidates from these different sources, you needed to manually rank the candidates in order to create a short-list. This process takes an enormous amount of effort and wastes time, while leaving room for errors. Recruiters may begin questioning themselves, wondering if they accidentally missed the best-suited candidates. But that is in the past, and things have changed for the better.
Sourcing technology now exists allowing recruiters to simply describe their ideal candidate and then search multiple candidate sources including an internal ATS, job board candidate databases, social networks and the open web, all at once, all from one system.
